As a Board Director, You Will Provide strategic leadership and governance for Sonder. Ensure cultural safety and inclusivity in decision-making. Advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives. Support the organisation's strategic plan, policies, and compliance. Attend Board meetings, committee meetings, strategy sessions, and community engagement events. This position is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Identified position and is exempt under the Equal Opportunity Act (1984). Essential Experience Requirements: Strong connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Knowledge of governance, leadership, or community advocacy. Understanding of the needs and aspirations of Aboriginal People. Ability to contribute to strategic decision-making. Desirable Experience on a Board or committee. Knowledge of corporate governance (training can be provided). Understanding of financial, legal, or risk management.
