**Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026** is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2, 300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22, 000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
**Position**:
We are looking for **Custom & Freight Forwarding Coordinator.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the customs clearance process and coordinate freight activities for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Customs and Freight Coordinator will work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders and Custom Authorities to ensure smooth and compliant movement of goods across borders.
The resource will have to deal with activities such as:
- Analise and negotiate the commitment from Government for special Olympic and Paralympic procedure with exemption of duties for goods related to the Games.
- Prepare and develop a Customs & Freight Forwarding Guide together with Government Authorities, Official Customs Broker, and IOC/IPC requirements, including policies and procedures for freight import/export, food & alcohol, ammunition & firearms, etc.
- Supervision of the operations of transfer of materials coming from foreign countries by C&FF Provider ensuring appropriate import /export documentation, reviewed and maintained consistent with special custom laws for Olympic and Paralympic Games.
- Guarantee respect of level of service agreed with C&FF Provider and encourage interaction between C&FF Provider and all other functions in terms of activities of integrated management.
- Prepare and review customs documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations ensure compliance with customs regulations.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely provision of customs-related information and communicate effectively with clients, external stakeholders, including customs authorities, freight forwarders, carriers, and vendors.
- Liaise with customs brokers or agents to facilitate customs clearance processes and resolve any issues or discrepancies, building and maintaining strong relationships with customs officials and other industry partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Keep accurate records of customs documentation, permits, and certifications as required by customs authorities.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation of goods, including negotiating rates with freight forwarders, carriers, and shipping lines through the Logistics Service Provider.
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on the status and location of goods in transit, addressing any transportation-related issues, such as delays, damages, or loss of goods, collaborating with carriers to resolve them.
Coordinate the critical situations in a quick and efficient way.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience of more than 6 years in custom clearance and freight coordination, preferably in a similar role with a focus on custom operations and administrative/accounting or contract management for logistics.
- Strong knowledge of local, national, and international customs regulations, import/export laws, special custom processes and trade compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with customs documentation, including customs declarations, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy under time constraints.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for customs clearance and freight coordination.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities working under pressure.
