As this is a new venture for our Milan office, you will have the space and autonomy to arrange your own schedule with support from Operations Supervisor, Regional Manager and Product Specialists.

You will be involved in procurement, margin management, supplier review, supporting quotations for existing and new business.

This role would suit someone has extensive Freight Forwarding experience looking to progress their career to the next level.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Ensuring you provide seamless communication from Commercial to Operations teams - handing over completed quotation and booking, if relevant, with clear instruction and no ambiguity or room for error

- Ensuring that excellent relationships are nurtured and maintained with fellow colleagues both at local branch level, regionally & globally including Managers, Directors and Support Services within the company

- Prioritising the customer experience and handling of new business through a streamlined and efficient incubation period

- Maintain awareness of forwarding and logistics markets

- including, key customers and competition in your area/region

- Ensuring that our technology platforms are used to create/maintain highly efficient processes

- Ensuring up to date and accurate CRM recording is completed

- Ensuring compliance with existing Quality systems (AEO etc)

- Ensuring that successful, sustainable and robust supplier relationships are in place, reviewed regularly and shared across the business

- Ensuring all enquiries are handled in accordance with the Company's Operating Procedures

- Contributing to group initiatives and activities - including but not limited to Product Developments; Margin Management; Growth Levers and Transformation projects

- Communicate wins & losses with the Product Owners to continually review and adjust trade lanes, routes and solutions

**What we need from you**:

- Previous experience in Freight Forwarding and/or Sales, Marketing or Business Development in the Forwarding industry.

- Degree qualification in a transport, logistics, supply chain or freight forwarding discipline is preferred but not essential.

- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Italian

- A high level of energy with a "can-do" positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit

- Eligibility to work in Italy is essential.

- A team player with good communication skills with, customers, operations team and worldwide colleagues.
