Customer Development Manager
Bring your commercial expertise to help us reach more kids with LEGO® bricks in Italy!
This is a pivotal role with a high level of engagement at every level of the organization: a sparring partner for our GM on strategic and operational topics, a sales reference for Brand, Trade Marketing and Operations collaborators, as well as a key local contact for our Western Europe Customer Development team.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead (w/Sr. CD Head) the local commercial strategy, including customer differentiation and promotional strategy at account/channel level.
- Own and drive global channel strategy adaptation to Italy BU with clear recommendation of listing/range and space optimization x channel.
- Support KAM/Account team in Customer Business Planning coordination and be process driver.
- Coordinate Sales Promotion Planning and measure its productivity and efficiency.
- Process owner of dedicated tools for Customer Target Management and Trade Promotion Management to drive joint value creation with top customers.
- Support day to day trade off decisions and drive dialogues with Market Finance on potential P&L implications.
- Responsible for Portfolio Management allocation with our main customers ensuring its maximization and the best level of differentiation.
- Lead the MCP process execution and the Customer Pulse Process.

The Customer Development Manager will be a key collaborator in the sales department, reporting directly to the Sr.
Customer Development Manager and playing a meaningful role on 3 focus areas:
1.
Strategy: translating global/regional directions into local BU priorities, such as Channel Segmentation or Customer Segmentation.
2.
Planning: ensuring comprehensive and compliant customer plans and decisions.
3.
Operational execution: making sure the business delivers on promise addressing on a regular base key sales deliverables.
Do you have what it takes?
- Several years of successful working experience in sales / TM management roles, within multinational A-brand companies.
- Strong financial foresight, exceptional business analytic skills and capacity to translate insights into strategic direction and concrete plans.
- Effective communication skills and a structured approach.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage relationships with internal and external senior partners.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics and key customers business models.
- Collaborative approach, work effectively with others.
- Energized by overcoming tough challenges and by sophisticated customer environments.
- Drive and track results, pushing for constant improvements/innovations.
- Challenge the status quo through new insights and ideas.
Identify changes in customer, shopper and consumer needs.
- Proficient in Italian and English.
