- Review import/export documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

- Ensure all documentation complies with Italian and EU customs regulations.

- Process customs declarations (SAD – Single Administrative Document) and other relevant forms.

Customs Clearance:- Assist clients with import/export clearance procedures.

- Calculate and confirm duties, taxes (VAT), and other applicable fees.

- Coordinate with logistics providers, warehouses, and transportation teams to ensure timely clearance of goods.

Compliance Checks:- Verify goods for compliance with Italian and EU safety, quality, and labeling standards.

- Assist with customs inspections and ensure goods meet regulatory requirements.

- Stay updated on the latest customs laws and policies.

Customer Service:- Provide customs-related advice to clients, addressing inquiries about clearance processes, duty calculations, and regulations.

- Maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and government authorities.

Record-Keeping and Reporting:- Accurately record all customs clearance data and generate relevant reports.

- Assist the finance team in reconciling duty and tax payments.

Experience:Minimum 2-5 years of experience in customs operations, with knowledge of Italian and EU customs regulations.

Experience with customs management systems (e. g. , AIDA, EU Customs systems) is a plus.

Skills:Proficiency in office software (e. g. , Excel, Word) and customs-related software.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Fluency in Italian, English is a plus (written and spoken).

Other Requirements:Familiarity with Italian and EU tariff classifications (HS Codes) and duty calculation rules.

Strong ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
