Customs Specialist
Position**:
**Job responsibilities**:
- Processing and managing all CITES-related import and export documentation, including permits, certificates, and declarations.
- Verifying the accuracy and completeness of CITES documentation and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Providing expert guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders on CITES requirements.
- Staying up-to-date on changes in CITES regulations and implementing necessary updates to internal procedures.
- Collaborating closely with government agencies, customs brokers, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth and compliant trade operations.
- Managing the increased workload associated with the recent expansion of pre-import activities.
- Contributing to the development and improvement of internal processes for CITES compliance.
- Maintaining accurate records of all CITES-related transactions.
- Providing support to other team members on CITES procedures.
**Profile**:
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in customs compliance, with a specific focus on CITES regulations.
- Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
