Role Purpose**:

The Network Security Architect will be responsible for ensuring that Vodafone's Network related products and services are designed meeting Vodafone security requirements and providing controls to counter emerging threats and evolving technology.

This role requires strong relationships across the organisation to drive optimal collaboration and alignment.

**Key accountabilities and decision ownership**:

- Ensure products and systems are compliant with Vodafone security standards for in-house and external solutions.

- Evaluate and keep track of cyber risks identified during Secure by design process and ensure mitigation actions are put in place to reduce the risks.

- Provide go/no go to projects based on Security test outputs and remediation activities.

- Provide answers to cyber security requirements on Customer bids.

- Collaborate with Group Security teams to evaluate the security posture of VF-IT Network systems.

**Core competencies, knowledge and experience**:

- Strong technical background in IT and Network Security.

- Knowledge of mobile Telco networks (2G/4G/5G, circuit switched, packet switched, IMS, mobile and fixed services).

- Router, switch and VLAN security

- Thorough understanding of relevant industry security standards and protocols including ISO27001 and 3GPP

- Perimeter security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, network access controls, network segmentation and DDoS

- A proven track record of being able to manage senior and challenging stakeholders.

**Must have professional qualifications/experience**:

- Master's Degree in quantitative fields like Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering

- Must have fluency in Italian and English.

- 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a telecoms, banking, insurance, digital services sector

- Certifications in Cyber Security or Information Security Systems would be beneficial.
