AIG's underwriters help to find insurance solutions for risks from a range of areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients and High Net Worth individuals.

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Underwriter who could work with different distribution channels and with a focus on developing the portfolio in a profitable way

The responsibilities for this role include:

- Responsible for analyzing risk and underwriting all products for Cyber

- Reviews new and renewal business submissions, evaluating account performance and risk factors

- Documents underwriting files according to established guidelines

- Ensures the quality of the underwriting practice and adheres to Best Practices and underwriting policies, guidelines and procedures

- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external business partners

- Contribute to continuous improvement of the underwriting process (service levels, turn times, error rates, customer experience, and underwriting leakage)

- Develops renewal negotiation strategies.

Presents renewal to justify rates and negotiate the renewal strategy

- Communicates with producers and clients to ensure common understanding of terms, conditions and ratings, and quotations; and resolves procedural and computational problems of involved, lengthy, multi-location, or difficult risks

- Maintains effective producer and client relationships

- Demonstrates intimate knowledge of current regulatory issues, economic indicators, trends and competitor strategies

What we're looking for:

- Preferred knowledge of technical underwriting experience with Cyber Insurance products

- Analytical and quantitative skills

- Process and system skills

- Strong customer service ethic, with a sound understanding of the business processes and Aware of legal and regulatory requirements

- Good level of English and Fluent in Italian

- Strong presentation, prioritization, and time management

- Strong execution and results orientation

- Strong communication (oral and written) and influencing skills and proven ability to collaborate and work across multiple areas of the organization

- Proven ability to build strong relationships with producer, clients and colleagues
