Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a remote-based Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic global IT shared services team. Reporting to the Cybersecurity Manager, this analytical professional will be responsible for developing and maintaining our cybersecurity processes, tools, and controls. They'll partner with external network and security vendors to configure and ensure that security controls are according to NIST CSF standards and be the primary contact for cybersecurity incident response and investigation. In addition, they'll focus on reviewing system access logs to ensure compliance with cybersecurity measures and identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with IT leadership to enhance the cybersecurity framework for control and access to our information systems.
Develop, maintain, and implement proactive information security and data loss prevention procedures to enforce information security standards across the IPS Corporation application and infrastructure ecosystem.
Monitor for the occurrence of security incidents and serve as primary contact for cybersecurity incident response, investigation, and remediation.
Analyze the effectiveness of current security systems, tools, and policies and make suggestions for improvement when necessary.
Identify and remediate vulnerabilities within critical applications and databases findings and ensure compliance with security measures.
Manage firewalls, proxy servers, and intrusion detection devices and ensure security controls are functioning properly. Maintain allow/block lists for enterprise email services.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and review system access logs.
Provide technical support, learning resources and other valuable information to associates, partners, and customers as needed.
Work with internal businesses, users, and staff to enforce the IPS information security policy and procedures by ensuring the application of cybersecurity standards to projects and implementations of IT hardware, software, and IoT products.
Adhere to company and legal regulations regarding cybersecurity concerns and safe work environment.
Develop and deploy training across the enterprise to increase protection of data, users, and data.
Stay abreast of the current threats and vulnerabilities landscape, particularly those that may directly impact the company and customer and incorporate learnings and best practices across the organization.
10% travel
Required Experience: 3+ years' experience as an IT Cybersecurity Analyst with strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and operations.
BS degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
CISSP, CASP, Security+ or other professional cybersecurity certification related to Information Security required. Please provide certification numbers in your resume/cover letter/application for verification purposes.
Experience with resolving security issues surrounding network computing and in implementation of security systems and controls in a global environment.
Experience analyzing information technology security events to discern potential security incidents from false positives. This includes security event triage, incident investigation, implementing countermeasures, and conducting incident response.
Must have strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work well with users, development staff, and technical staff.
Ability to research, analyze and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision and escalate issues as appropriate.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, troubleshooting and problem diagnosis capabilities required.
Demonstrated ability to handle pressure and achieve success in a demanding environment.
Preferred Experience Prior experience developing and implementing security policy and/or standards preferred.
