As acontractor technician at Micron Technology, Inc. , you willhave the opportunity to workfora globalmanufacturer ofmemorydevices, one of the fewcompaniesto producesilicon chipsworldwide. You will work ina state-of-the-artelectronics laboratorytoset up, follow and evaluate the results of product security penetration testing activities. Theactivities will range from non-invasive to invasive, including the use of Electro Magnetic pulse generators and powerful laser microscopes. You willalsocontributetodeveloping software stacks tomonitorand aggregate data from experiments ran at scale. In this role, you willalsoperform calibration activities on the equipment, to ensure that measurements areaccurate, applying the international standards formetrology. Finally, you will take part in the development of novel penetration testing methodologies, involving the use of silicon-level analysis tools like3D Computerized Tomography scanners, Scanning Electron Microscopes and Focused Ion Beam machines, learning to master those tools.

The activities will encompassdifferent product security testing methodologies, from thesimplest fault attacks to the most sophisticatedsilicon analysis techniques, the contractor technician will learn how to performtheaforementioned techniqueswith precision and effectiveness.

Experience / Skills:

Experience in the use of Digital Sampling Oscilloscopes and lab tools

Expertisein the use of scripting languages, programming tools and environments

Extensive experience programming in Python

Experience withLinux operating system

Ability to cross-check board diagrams and schematic witha physical PCB

Ability to hand or hot-air solder/rework SMD components

Curiosity and passion towardsproduct security

Ability to work independently with a minimum of day-to-day supervision

Ability to work in a multi-functional team and under the pressure of multiple priorities

Education

Diploma in technical and relevant area (eg. electronics, computer science)

Sets up andensurethe full functionality of product security laboratory equipment. Develops, debugsandmodifiestest software. Troubleshootspenetration testing setups, eventuallyreworkingormodifyinghardware components. Utilizesanalog and digital hardware and software operating systems. Typically, programs inpython language. Usesadvancedfailure analysistools likeScanning Electron Microscopes andFocused Ion Beams.
