Job Description

The Vertex Internship Program offers the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective.

You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry.

The Intern will be part of the Marketing team at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Italy, primarily engaged in marketing, sales and other commercial related activities.

As an individual contributor, the intern will work closely with members of the commercial Team, executive staff, and other teams involved in the Vertex Italy management

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development and coordination of promotional and non-promotional marketing activities

- Support the interaction with marketing agencies for the creation of marketing contents

- Support the data analysis activities and monitor ongoing activities

- Collaborate with the Marketing Team in engaging and communicating to internal and external stakeholders

- Cross-functional team participation (medical, sales, access and international team)

- Leverages primary and secondary research to develop clear, actionable insights that accurately inform the key drivers and barriers to a successful launch strategy

Skills/Experience and Education

Minimum Requirements

- Degree in the area of Business/Marketing or Pharmaceutic/Biology (study ongoing)

- At least one other intern/stage or work experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong interest in marketing and management

- Hands on approach, can do attitude and Innovative and entrepreneurial flair

- Analytical capabilities and problem solving skills

- Good MS Office skills including some Excel and PowerPoint expertise

- Can simultaneously manage multiple competing priorities and meet expected deadlines

- Strong written communication skills, presentation delivery, and interpersonal skills to be effective in a team environment

- Team player

- Fluency in English
