We are currently seeking new talented individuals to join our Danieli Automation Team.

**Job Title**: Hardware & Firmware Designer

**Location**:Buttrio (UD), Italy

**Responsibilities**:

- Basic and Detail Design (drawings and/or technical specifications) of hardware schematics of electronic cards exploited by the sensors/gauges produced by the Instrumentation and Robotics Business Unit (BU);

- Basic and Detail Design (code and/or technical specifications) of firmware deployed into electronic cards used within the sensors/gauges produced by the BU;

- Basic and Detail Design (code and/or technical specifications) of software deployed in both hardware and software PLCs;

- Development and testing of laboratory prototypes to verify theoretical hypotheses regards techniques to be used in current/future gauges produced by the BU;

- Standardization, improvement, and innovation of existing/new solutions for the gauges produced by the BU;

- Time schedule, cost, and quality of the assigned jobs;

- Follow up and coordinate the external partners involved (designer and/or supplier) to achieve the targets of quality, time, and cost;

- Link with project managers and project leaders to gather the information to design the optimal solution and share it with the BU team;

- Link with team members to design the optimal mechanical/architectural solution.

**Technical Requirements**:

- Knowledge of electronic CAD software;

- Experience with microcontrollers and/or FPGA development suites;

- Experience with networks and Fieldbus protocols (Profibus, Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus, Modbus-TCP, RS232, );

- Preferred programming language (in order of importance): C/C++/CodeSys/C#/VHDL;

- Electronics (preferred) or other technical engineering degrees;

- Preferred minimum 3 years experience in HW&FW development;

- Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
