Offer Description This project aims to investigate the composition of urban microbiomes in Bari, Rome, Bologna, and Milan and their socio-economic impact on public health, analyzing how microbial diversity in different city zones affects health outcomes.
In particular, the analysis will focus on cities' environmental microbiomes, correlating them with citizens' health and environmental data.
Microbiomes sampling will be done through the collection of environmental samples from various urban settings such as parks, residential areas, and commercial zones to analyze microbial diversity.
Additionally, health data will be collected from local clinics and hospitals, focusing on conditions potentially influenced by microbial exposure, such as autoimmune diseases, allergies, and gastrointestinal disorders.
