Verizon Florence, Italy Metropolitan Area Senior Recruiter Corporate Functions - Talent Acquisition at Verizon What you'll be doing Verizon Connect is looking for a Data Software Engineer to join the Data Products organization in our office in Florence, Italy. The successful candidate will join an expanding Data Platform team, in charge of managing the VZC Data Platform. Our platform stack is built on AWS for data storage/ingestion: Redshift, S3, Airflow, Kinesis and QuickSight for data visualization. The candidate should have practical hands-on experience with most of these tools. Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines from internal and external sources all the way through to S3 and Redshift. Developing and maintaining ETL workflows orchestrated on AWS with Apache Airflow (MWAA) or Step Functions. Contributing to decentralize our data platform following a data mesh approach. Creating and maintaining the assigned pipelines across Dev, Test and Prod environments (supported by CI/CD engineers). Ensuring all developed solutions include unit tests and integration with the teams test suite. Ensuring proper monitoring of all developed production applications. What we are looking for You'll need to have Degree in Computer Science or other technical subject. Knowledge of Python Programming. Even better if you have Experience with Redshift and S3. Experience programming with T-SQL and PG-SQL. Able to develop and maintain E2E ETL/ELT pipelines and best practices for them. Documentation skills with ability to create Entity Relationship Diagrams and Source to Target mappings. Knowledge of automated CI/CD tools and patterns. Experience working with Agile and Lean methodologies. Knowledge of Airflow or Step Functions or similar orchestration and ingestion tools. BI visualization tools familiarity, especially within self-hosted AWS implementations. Knowledge of Kinesis Stream, Firehose and Glue. Why Verizon Connect?
