Data Governance Intern**:

**WE OFFER **:Data Governance Intern to work in the Enterprise Data Governance team to gather, analyze and document information related to the Governance framework.

- ** Must be a Graduate student in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Data Analytics preferred**:

- ** Have the ability to complete 1 year internship

**Responsibilities**:

- Report to Data Governance Lead to perform data profiling to establish baseline blueprints for key assets.

- Assist in documenting data flows and work with our team to enable technologies like Data Catalog, data Quality and MDM, while developing use cases, documentation and profiling together with business SME's.

- Learn data quality standards and tools to profile data sources.

- Document the Enterprise Data Governance data quality policies and procedures.

- Documenting business glossary terms and definitions for Critical Data Elements.

- Work with data stewards to identify, assess and document data sources.

- Research and document current state business process flows.

- Assist Data Governance team members with implementing and maintaining governance standards and processes

- Opportunity to develop Data Governance dashboards and visualizations such as Data Quality and Business Glossary.

- Participate in Data Governance community of practice and share metrics.

- Build communication skills for presenting to data stewards and key data owners.

**WE EXPECT**:

- Must be a Graduate student in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Data Analytics, or Data Scientist preferred

- Have the ability to work part-time, required hours 20+

- Confidence in use of MS Office 360 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notes)

- Experience or coursework in use of the data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc. )

- Basic SQL knowledge strongly preferred

- Exposure to coursework related to data management : data quality, metadata, data lineage would be ideal

- Knowledge of Python or R/SAS is welcomed but not required
