The ideal candidate has a degree in Computer Science or Engineering or another quantitative field, is adept at managing SQL and NoSQL databases, and using large data sets.
They must have strong experience using MySQL databases, ETL procedures, and Data Integration technologies.
The right candidate will have a passion for managing systems and data, problem-solving, and working with stakeholders to implement data-driven complex solutions.
Responsibilities The candidate will support and develop all analysis and development activities on the company data warehouse, data lake, and other automatic systems related to data management.
They will therefore be responsible for carrying out data analysis (SQL and NoSQL), designing data marts and ETL processes in compliance with the company's quality and security standards, also ensuring high processing performance.
They will work closely with BI experts and Data scientists and will ensure the release of data with high levels of accuracy.
At the same time, the candidate will be able to provide important insights derived from the data which will guide the most important business decisions.
They will be able to carry out very thorough tests on each component developed and released.
We're looking for someone who must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 3 years of experience; Experience querying databases and using SQL language; Strong knowledge of ETL architectures and ETL strategies; Strong knowledge of relational databases; Strong teamwork ability: ability to clearly communicate results, curiosity.
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel or other BI tools in order to analyse datasets and present data insights; Proven experience with Python programming; Proven experience in data management areas: data governance, data architectures, data modelling and design, data warehousing, data lake principles of data security, data life cycle, analytical skills, knowledge of interaction between data storage and business intelligence front end layer; Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on process optimization; Ability to design comprehensive software and data analysis test cases; Good knowledge of Unix shell programming; Good knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken); Knowledge of NoSQL databases; It would be nice if you have Experience using web and cloud services (i. e.
AWS S3).
Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc.
Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, Matlab; Database administration experience in a MySQL/Aurora environment.
Coding knowledge and experience with several programming languages.
Knowledge of main concepts related to data science and machine learning.
