Your role and primary responsibilities

MDOTM is looking for outstanding data scientists with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence, statistical modeling, and machine learning.

You will be working within our research team to help improve MDOTM's investment strategies and build new predictive models.

You will be fully immersed in a young and dynamic research team with the opportunity to be the one who makes a difference in discovering new data-driven insights.

You will be independent and can manage your own schedule but will be working with an international and diverse team of people that together have the mission to enhance how investment decisions are taken by leveraging AI models.

Your tasks will include:

Researching, designing, and implementing appropriate machine learning algorithmsSelecting appropriate datasets and data representation methodsRunning machine learning tests, experiments, and performing statistical analysisPresenting complex results in a clear and concise way using intuitive and beautiful data visualizationsExtending existing AI/ML libraries and frameworksStaying up to date on the latest developments and breakthroughs in the fieldWorking smoothly as part of the R&D team and collaborating with different business functions on the entire lifecycle of the projectsAbout you:

You are a brilliant data scientist with strong data intuition, proven experience implementing predictive models, and a love for approaching problems with a scientific research mindset.

Skills required:

Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical fields2+ years of work experience in an industry, university, or government lab, in a role with primary emphasis on AI researchStrong skills in statistical modeling and machine learning, especially techniques such as bagging, random forests, gradient boosting, hyperparameter optimization techniques, Bayesian models, neural networks, time series analysis, and signal processingRelevant coding experience in programming languages such as Python (or equivalent)Excellent teamwork skills are a mustCreativity and the ability to formulate problems and solve them both in a team and independentlyWillingness to work towards long-term ambitious research goals while identifying intermediate milestones and meeting deadlinesBonus points:
