Data Scientist
As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making and business growth.
This position will require you to perform advanced data analysis, provide actionable insights, and make strategic recommendations particularly regarding revenue metrics.
You will work closely with various departments, including finance, dealing, sales, operations, compliance, and more.
You will need to have a deep understanding of the business processes and data flows, be able to improve and adjust existing reports and dashboards, and explain changes in the metrics over time.
You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify trends, solve complex problems, and optimize business processes, having the opportunity to help drive real change in our efforts to use data to make smarter, more efficient, and more impactful decisions.
Primary responsibilities (not limited to) Conduct analysis and reporting on a varied range of initiatives being undertaken at the company. Conduct quantitative analysis, data mining, and present insights related to customer behavior, trading patterns, internal processes, and external factors. Develop, validate, test, and maintain analytical solutions, dashboards, statistical models, and predictive algorithms to enhance decision-making processes. Facilitate ad hoc analytics requests from various departments including Sales, Dealing, Operations, Compliance, and others. Liaise with the Data Warehouse team regarding required metrics for analysis. Define, evaluate, and monitor key metrics for business initiatives. Share knowledge and expertise with other team members to enable continued team skills development. Requirements 3+ years of experience as a data scientist/analyst. Proven experience in statistical analysis, with a deep understanding of concepts like hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, and distributions. Proficiency in Python. Strong SQL skills, including complex query writing. Familiarity with the finance industry and CFD trading is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of delivering high-accuracy solutions promptly. Demonstrated ownership of quality control processes and error resolution in data analysis. Experience in conducting research and implementing solutions to improve processes and generate revenue. Experience in version control software such as git; strong desire to learn new analytical skills and techniques. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Able to work efficiently with international staff; intuitive, analytical mind and good problem-solving skills. Able to deal with ambiguity in defining activities and direction. Proactive and persistent. Experience with agile practices preferred. Excellent written and spoken English skills. Hours: 40 hours/week - Monday to Friday
