3rdPlace is an Italian innovative company specialised in designing and implementing tailored Artificial Intelligence solutions.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated FREELANCE data scientist to reinforce the team working on modelling documents OCR recognition.

The project

The goal of the project is to automatically extract relevant information (such as name, surname, document number, date of birth, etc) from documents (such as CU, QAR, Privacy contracts, Paycheck, etc) via image processing and OCR recognition.

It is required that the solution will be able to process one file at a time and return a dictionary with the detected fields to check the validity of the information submitted by the banking operators.

Activities

- Able to work and take research decisions

- Develop solutions on Google Cloud Platform

- Present, discuss, design and document your work

- Contribute to the end-to-end development and test of A. I.

based solutions

- Participate in technical and operational meetings

- Scouting of research fundings and grant writing

Skills & Requirements

- Solid knowledge of deep learning methods and neural networks

- Advanced knowledge of feature extraction and image processing

- Some exposure to software development practises

- A good level of Python
