Database Administrator | ITALY ONLY | 14+ months RED Global is delighted to be working with an internal client looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Open Technologies. You will manage, optimize, and support databases, primarily MySQL, in cloud and on-premises environments.

You will also work on replication, tuning, and supporting both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring seamless operations in a public sector context. Key Responsibilities:Administrating and maintaining MySQL databases (versions 5. 7 and 8), ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. Working with cloud-based database environments, including deployment, scaling, and performance management in cloud platforms. Responsible in implementing and managing MySQL replication setups, tune database performance, and optimize queries and indexes. Providing technical support and ensure smooth database operations, collaborating with the client to solve complex database issues. Supporting PostgreSQL databases and creating Linux shell scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency. Key Skills:Several years of experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.

), managing cloud-hosted databases.

Highly skilled in MySQL administration (versions 5. 7 and 8), replication, performance tuning, and query optimization as well as solid understanding of SQL language and experience working with relational databases. Proven track experience working with PostgreSQL and familiar to NoSQL database technologies and their administration. Good ability to write shell scripts in Linux to automate processes. Very good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve database-related issues and ensure minimal downtime.
