Deal Strategist, Gps
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in a government agreements environment at a technology company or in a legal environment focusing on technology customers/agreements.
- Experience with commercial Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with bespoke and non-standard customer contracting documents.
- Problem solving experience, combined with business acumen and ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner.
- Familiarity with European public procurement processes, rules and structures (e. g. , invitations to tender, RFPs, framework agreements, dynamic purchasing systems, call-off agreements, etc.
)
- Understanding of business growth recognition, SaaS, and SOX compliance in the context of complex software and cloud services.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to identify action items needed.
- Ability to speak and write in English and German, Italian, Spanish, and/or French fluently.
**About the job**:
As a Deal Strategist for Google Cloud Global Business Practices, you will serve to provide agreement structuring and guidance to the Google Cloud Sales organization, as well as prepare tailored agreement packages for Google Cloud Customers in the government sector.
You will contribute to the scalability and efficiency of internal processes that impact the overall customer experience.

**Responsibilities**:
- Drive, coordinate, and manage complex tender response and agreement creation processes, and associated internal risk analysis, escalation and documentation of approvals.
- Act as the first point of contact for and work closely with Sales teams to communicate, seek approvals and plan mitigations for customer requirements and business cases.
Escalate agreement value and risks to internal stakeholders to enable effective participation in non-standard opportunities.
- Serve as an adviser to Sales teams on various topics (e. g.
product configuration, business terms, objection handling techniques, alternative agreement options, value propositioning, etc.
).
- Build effective relationships with Global Business Practices programmatic teams, Legal, Finance, Sales, Pricing and Product teams to promote a streamlined agreement process.
- Partner with Sales leaders to understand plans and timelines for high-level agreements.
