Sesto Fiorentino is the Headquarter of Thales Italia. It hosts two Domains: Ground Transportation Systems (GTS) and Security (SIX). The candidate will fill the role of Bids and Projects System Engineer in both Customer and R&D contexts. Main Responsibilities: Scout continuously the Thales Products Portfolio in order to find innovative solutions, especially following the digital transformation trend. Analyze and understand customer needs or R&D Call specifications to well define and manage the related low/high level requirements. Design complex Telecom and Security Systems to meet stakeholders' expectations in compliance with assigned budget, risks mitigation, quality constraints, project schedule, technology roadmap, and business strategy. Propose Innovative Security Solutions. Manage the vendors Subcontracts from a technical point of view. Guarantee Cyber-by-Design. Elaborate all engineering documentation, e. g. , Product Breakdown Structure, Architecture, Interconnection Diagrams, Functional Specifications, Interfaces Control Details, Test Procedures, and O&M Manuals. Ensure project technical integration and carry out integration, verification, and validation tests. Formalize and demonstrate the selected solution to the customer. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: It is required a Work Experience on Telecom&Security Projects with High Technological Contents, e. g. , Maritime Radio, 5G Applications, HMI Development frontend, backend, Authentication & Encryption where the leading of engineering activities was foreseen, particularly with a Design-To-Cost approach and a V Cycle methodology. QUALIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Graduated in Engineering Degree (Telecommunication or Computer). Worked on System Requirement Management and Technical Specification Writing, particularly in Cyber Security topics. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Customer facing skills (presentations/meetings). Planning and Reporting skills. Good English communication skills (preferred C1 Certificate). Able to coordinate projects with planning and related implementing. Able to manage external contractors and suppliers. Able to work in various environments: in office, smart working, and construction sites. Able to effectively achieve objectives in teamwork. Able to perform in a multicultural and multilanguage environment. Other Required Skills: Agile / Continuous Improvement approach. Full-Stack Software Developer. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project). Knowledge of C++, Java, Linux, Kubernetes, Kafka, MQTT, Python, Rust.
