**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
British American Tobacco Italy is seeking a passioned Demand and Planning Manager to join its Operations department in Rome.
This role is a great opportunity work in a multi-cultural, open and fast environment.
As a Demand and Planning Manager in our department, you will ensure that BAT Supply Chain process is applied to ensure right levels of finished goods, delivering cost efficiencies & contribute on business targets while complying to all applicable standards.
Correct and precisely use of BAT system to ensure a proper stock movement (eg.
KINAXIS for the forecast, SAP, Office pack for file management and presentation, etc ) including financial reporting (ie stock value, write-off analysis, destruction cost, 3rd parties cost analysis, etc )
**Reports to**: Italy Supply Chain Manager
**Geographic Scope: Italy
**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Operation/Professional/Business
- Effective management of the Supply Chain PRRPS budgets and leading the various operations savings projects.
- Lead, inspire & motivate the Supply chain teams.
Build the capability of the teams based on capacity gaps & business needs.
- Lead a robust product planning to meet sales demand on-time -in full and report all the information related to the SOPs scenarios in KINAXIS and other mandatory Supply Chain tool
- Lead 3rd party teams to ensure data readiness example actual data, commercial out of stock, presentation, etc.
- Manage the administration task related to Supply Chain PRRPs, like managing the budget process
- Support the BAT Italia Warehouse manager in ensuring that all information regarding the monthly activities is delivered especially with regards H1 and YE.
- Manage day by day activities including ad-hoc request from Line Manager/Marketing/NPI teams
- Provide promptly to line manager timely information on possible criticality/delay related the finish goods arrival/shipment including potential write-off. .
- Proactively collect information from different data sources and assembly/combine them to produce beneficial analysis in response to business or line manager needs
- Follow the finish goods in quality inspection and provide feedback to the line manager
- Problem solving attitude
- Challenging spirit to unleash the potential supply chain team and bring innovation on current WoW
- Proactive and effective engagement of Internal & external stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
- Plan and prepare processes/ methodology aimed at improving service delivery and cost base.
- Set clear parameters, appraisal systems and formulate procedures to address the gaps for continuous improvement.
- Management & Relationships
- Encouraging teamwork and flexibility.
- Guarantee that there are viable and efficient control systems to ovoid commercial out of stock or overstock or write off.
- Contact all relevant teams to ensure that the targets were reached
- Effective relationship with internal customers/supplier like distributor, supplier, HQ in Rome (Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Tax, eCOMMERCE, etc), Factory, etc
**CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
- Do you have a more than 3 years of experience in Supply Chain / Operations / Production ?
- Do you possess good People Leadership & Management skills?
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- More than 4 years of experience in Supply Chain / Operations / Production
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills - enjoys problem solving
- Excellent consulting, communication, and engagement skills, coupled with the ability to transmit complex messages in an understandable way.
- Financial what-if analysis.
- MBA or master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)
- Good English (spoken and written)
- Communicate at different levels and context
- Ability to promote the culture of continuous improvement
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Ability to make/recommend timely decisions, solution-oriented, ability to challenge status quo
- Be assertive and willing to escalate issue if necessary
- Work in a competitive/dynamic and continuous improvement environment
- Previous experience with KINAXIS / SAP would be preferable
- Proactive - taking initiatives
**BENEFICIAL
Experience from the FMCG industry and ecommerce is considered an advantage, but not a requirement
