Within the newly created Supply Chain and Distribution Planning function based in the HQ in Milan, the _Demand Planner_ will be responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products.

Will create and maintain forecast models for their channels/categories, incorporating business intelligence and forecast data with information gathered from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Replenishment analysts, and other sources.

Basic forecast modelling is the responsibility of this position.

Will also provide predictive analysis reports focusing on inventory reduction, and operational efficiency.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons

- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results

Review sales plans and demand drivers

- Interact with Merchandising and Retail department to understand demand forecast drivers

- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process

- Prepare relevant material to facilitate research, discussion and alignment among Merchandising, Supply Chain, Production and Finance

- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to analyse significant variances between sales and forecast and to refine the forecast model through updated sales data

- Use and maintain the Demand Planning system: enter and modify data and ensure their correctness, monitor trends in forecast error

- Provide input to the Supply Distribution Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs

**Profile**:

- Bachelor's or master's degree

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in statistics and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts

- Knowledge of some software related to demand planning (Board, R, RPAS, others)

- Experience in a high volume, multi-location distribution environment

Excellent verbal and written in Italian and English

Strong analytical abilities and mathematical skills

- Strong organizational and presentation skills to effectively interact with all teams and business levels

- Good facilitation skills
