Demand Planning Internship

**Purpose of Position**: The internship in Central / Demand planning aims to provide an overview of the role as Demand Planner in a multinational company and allow the intern to gain more and more autonomy in the assigned tasks. He/she will support the Demand Planner in demand planning activities in order to develop and update monthly sales forecasts, through continuous comparison and in collaboration with other departments.
**Main activities / responsibilities**:
- Support in weekly update of the forecast based on the progress of sales
- Support in daily and weekly check of the progress of sales actual vs forecast, budget and previous year
- Support in the implementation and test of the new tools for Demand Planning, Production Planning and Material requirement planning
- Monitor New Product Launch/Phase Out and Switches of the codes, in terms of forecast and availability, to maximize Service Level and to minimize Write off.
- Prepare and monitor the Forecast accuracy KPI's, drive root cause analysis and lead actions. Implement official reporting on FA KPI's
**Requierements**:
- ** Education**: Degree in Economics or management engineering
- **Professional Skills**: Excellent analytical skills (historical sales data, market trends, and other factors to forecast future demand); Proficiency in extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data from various sources; Knowledge of the basic principles of supply chain management and the relationship between demand, production, and distribution.
- **Experience**: No experience needed
- **Language Skills**: Proficient English is mandatory.
- ** Computer Skills**: MS Office. Mastery in Excel is mandatory.
- **Behavioral Requirements**:Ability to work with precision and accuracy; Ability to effectively manage one's time to complete assigned tasks within expected deadlines; Willingness to learn new concepts and adapt to new tools and business processes, keeping a positive and proactive approach
