We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive Demand Planning Specialist with FMCG (Food & Spirits) experience for our San Lazzaro plant.
In this role, you will prepare demand forecasts for a specific group of countries, working closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.
You will analyze sales forecasts, develop demand plans, support S&OP meetings, and maintain the related systems.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities Demand Forecasting & Analysis : Liaise with market organizations to gather enrichments, evaluate and incorporate changes into demand plans, and document the reasons for adjustments; Study sales data, market trends, and commercial variables to develop accurate demand forecasts; Continuously monitor forecast accuracy, measure performance, and proactively correct discrepancies; Maintain an up-to-date 24-month forecast in related systems based on the latest business insights.
S&OP Process Leadership : Prepare and support S&OP meetings including report preparation, issue and risk analysis, and coordination of action items; Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between demand and supply; Collaborate on projects such as New Product Development (NPD), Phase outs, and process improvements.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management : Closely monitor supply issues in collaboration with supply coordination, identifying their impact on demand; Manage and control slow-moving and obsolete (SLOB) inventory; Ensure healthy inventory levels, service standards, and minimal obsolete stock generation, while demonstrating strong self-leadership and risk mitigation strategies.
Lead the monitoring of KPIs related to demand planning and take proactive measures to improve performance.
Advanced Tool Utilization : Use advanced tools such as SO99+ and Power BI not only for reporting but to identify critical patterns, propose actionable data-driven solutions, and drive continuous improvements.
The profile requires Mandatory skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn and grow within the role Plus Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning Experience and concrete knowledge of working in the FMCG industry (preferably in Spirits & Food) Advanced knowledge of forecasting tools and ERP software (e. g. , SO99+, SAP, APO, Anaplan, or similar) Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Proficiency in statistics and forecasting methods, with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts Ability to see the bigger picture, identify critical issues, and propose structured solutions Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders Confident, self-motivated, and proactive, with the ability to work independently Strong negotiation and persuasion skills If you think you are a good match, but don't necessarily meet every single point above, please still apply.
