Responsibilities: Ensure that all aspects of the service contract are efficiently and effectively managed to achieve customer deliverables in Availability, Reliability, and Safety, while supporting the commercial needs of the business.
Ensure work is performed safely and effectively in accordance with Health & Safety at Work Rules and Regulations, ANSF standards, ECM regulations (where applicable), and ALSTOM Policies and Procedures.
Be responsible for train delivery, ensuring trains are made available to meet customer contractual requirements.
Monitor fleet performance to continuously deliver customer requirements and take corrective action when performance fails to meet targets.
Manage and develop preventive and corrective staff competencies.
Fully implement ALSTOM policies for the development of people, including objective setting and appraisal, at the unit.
Manage interfaces with contractors according to National working rules.
Manage interfaces with suppliers, including other ALSTOM units.
Lead key business initiatives and implement them at depots as appropriate, including APSYS (Kaizen continuous improvement).
Carry out specific Health and Safety duties, including setting Safety objectives and targets for staff and managers, and achieving safety targets set by the Trains Operations Manager.
Ensure adherence to documented Quality procedures, and maintain and update departmental quality procedures as required to meet ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Conduct Quality, Safety, and Communication briefings as required.
Ensure correct data input in the maintenance management information system and optimal use of the ERP system.
Control the use of calibrated tools through calibration.
Ensure training packages and certifications for specific works are up to date and under control.
Manage and lead continuous improvement activities for the site.
Education Required: Technical Mechanical or Electrical degree
Languages: Fluent professional English is required
Experience Required: Technical experience and expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering (+5 years) Experience in maintenance or production management in the railway industry or similar (+5 years) Project Management experience would be a plus Technical knowledge of trains IT skills – competent user of Personal Computer, including office packages Soft Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels in the organization Good understanding of production planning, time scheduling, construction planning, logistics planning Result-oriented with problem-solving abilities Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Continuous improvement approach, oriented towards customer satisfaction You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
