Deputy - Qc Manager (Construction)

We are currently seeking a Deputy QC - Manager to serve on a project team for a multi-year contract.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- The Deputy QCM will be implementing and managing the program that covers on-site and off-site work and be keyed to the work sequence.
- The Deputy QCM Monitor the quality of works or material/equipment testing
- The Deputy QCM will be based on the work site
- Deputy QC Manager reports to QCM and must work together effectively Project Superintendent, Project Manager and Safety Manger + subcontractors.
- Along with QC Manager, the Deputy QCM will be the primary individual responsible for quality control, all individuals will be held responsible for the quality of work on the job.
- The Deputy QC Manager is required to attend the partnering meetings, QC Plan Meetings, Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meeting, conduct the QC meetings, perform the three phases of control except for those phases of control designated to be performed by QC Specialists, perform submittal review and approval, ensure testing is performed and provide QC certifications and documentation required in this Contract.
- The Deputy QC Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the three phases quality of control and documentation performed by the QC Specialists, testing laboratory personnel and any other inspection and testing personnel required by this Contract.
- The Deputy QC Manager is to assist the QC manager of all QC activities.
- The Deputy QC manager is responsible for notifying the Special Inspector and Commissioning Authority of activities which require their review.
- The Deputy QC manager is responsible for coordinating the Special Inspection activities.
- Perform MEP QC Specialists work in either electrical or Mechanical/plumbing works for submittal review, inspections works, and all relayed QC activities from project start-up till close-out
- Assist QC Manager with all works and duties assigned to QC Manager.
- Act as QCM during the absence of QCM from Site.
**Qualifications
- A graduate of a four year accredited college or university program in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science, with a minimum of 10 years' experience as a Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager on similar size and type construction contracts which included the major trades that are part of this Contract.
**Preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineer**:
- The individual must have at least two years' experience as a QC Manager or Alternative QC Manager.
- The individual must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 (Construction Safety), and have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
- Previous experience on NAVFAC projects is must
- Fluent in Italian and English languages written and spoken
- In addition to the above experience and education requirements, preferable the Alternative QC Manager must have completed the course entitled "Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors" for USACE &/or NAVFAC projects.
If the QC Manager does not have a current certification, they must obtain the CQM for Contractors course certification within 90 days of award.
