This role is split between two core areas:
Design Engineer (Mechanical) - 70% of the time: You will be responsible for designing new or improved products, applying established engineering principles to meet both functional and performance requirements. The role involves solving moderately complex design challenges and developing protocols for design verification. Collaboration with senior engineers on more complex issues is also expected, as well as leading smaller-scale projects. Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical) - 30% of the time: You will focus on optimizing manufacturing production processes. This includes reviewing equipment, operations, and processes to suggest improvements in quality and efficiency. You will also participate in evaluating vendor proposals for new equipment, conducting process validations, and leading medium-scope projects. Key Responsibilities:
Develops design plans, performs calculations, analyses, and prepares documentation in accordance with standards and specifications. Conducts tests and analyzes data to interpret findings, often requiring familiarity with software applications. Maintains BOMs (Bills of Materials) and routers with a high degree of accuracy. Participates in product development projects, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Assists with creating engineering drawings, developing specifications, and drafting new label templates. Designs 3D CAD models and detailed 2D specifications for components and assemblies of new products. Analyzes product designs for manufacturability, assembly, and tolerance. Identifies required materials and testing for product validation, ensuring all project requirements regarding design, quality, cost, and timelines are met. Works closely with various departments, including Product Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Regulatory, to ensure the successful launch and optimization of new products and processes. Participates in the design and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and systems. Conducts manufacturability studies for new designs and assists production in optimizing batch printing processes. Competenze ed esperienza
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering Three years experience in the same role. Candidates with a Master's degree must have at least one year of related engineering experience, while those with a Bachelor's degree need three years of relevant experience.
