- The Design Manager is responsible for managing design activities assuring implementation in the design of Client's requirements and state of the art solutions within time and budget.

The Design Manager reports to the Project Manager.

**Explore your tasks and responsibilities**:

- The Design Manager has the responsibility to:

- Work with the Project Manager to define design activities plan and design package contents

- Work with the Project manager to build the design team, utilizing internal and external resources

- Maintain a thorough understanding of the design solutions

- Be reference person to Client for design works

- Define design process and standards

- Define the design database access and utilization parameters

- Verify and approve main design solutions and concepts

- Assure that the design developed is according to Client's requirements and latest state of the art solutions

- Assure that the standards, rules, norms and laws are taken into account by system engineers

- Verify that what designed can be built within budget constraints

**Skills and Knowledge**:

- Knowledge of the project technical concepts

- Knowledge of latest technical design solutions

- Knowledge of design procedures

- Capability to assume role of team leader

- Speak and write fluent English

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced working environment

- Engineering degree

**Experience**:

- Five (5) years direct experience in design co-ordination
