No Offer Description The research will be carried out in the field of turbomachinery mainly by means of numerical methodologies based on CFD techniques.
In addition to the classical fields of application, particular attention will be paid to the design, optimization, and flow analysis in thermal turbomachinery operating with non-conventional working fluids even in non-ideal conditions and conceived for heat recovery, power production, and energy storage plants.
Examples of some activities include: Development and application of numerical models for the study of two-phase flows of non-ideal compressible fluids in thermodynamic equilibrium and non-equilibrium conditions.
Development and application of optimization techniques for the design of turbomachinery also operating with unconventional non-ideal fluids, such as CO2 in supercritical conditions, organic fluids, refrigerants, etc.
Italian or foreign applicants who have a PhD or equivalent qualification obtained in Italy or abroad are admitted to the selection process.
In addition, in the past 5 years, they must have authored, co-authored, or edited a number of publications, accepted texts, essays included in collections, and articles published in print or digital journals equal to or exceeding the minimum required number of 15, excluding internal notes or departmental reports.
