We are currently recruiting for a Development Director to join the business on a major urban regeneration scheme in Milan.

What will you do?

- Accountable for the implementation of the Development business strategy and business plan for the individual projects.

- Responsible for the Development Management and product delivery within the projects.

- Works closely with the Project Management and Commercial Director to ensure project governance and reporting is robustly and transparently carried out.

- Oversee safety 'from a client perspective', and a focus on a strategic safety agenda especially through the design stage of the project.

- Responsible for cost, programme and quality.

- Drive self and others to focused bottom line outcomes in line with the Group's overall strategy; and without compromising safety.

- Looks forward to ensure projects and forecasts performance and ensures execution strategy is robust.

- Has visibility of and plans for all resourcing requirements of the project, both short and long term.

- Review and recognise staff's performance considering both what and how the goals have been achieved.

- Proactively identify talent and manage the development and retention of great people, supporting individuals to achieve their highest potential.

- Responsible for establishing and growing key stakeholder relationships.

- Responsible for ensuring internal advice is validated, accountability is clear and upheld and operations are efficient and effective.

- Responsible for leading and managing a diverse team made up of internal and external specialists.

Strong leadership skills are essential for this role.

You will bring

- Strong understanding of diverse housing tenures.

- Understands the organisational strategy and quickly zeroes in on the critical few that are of paramount importance.

- Can be relied upon to make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom and experience and will never compromise on safety.

- Is skilled at making the complex simple and clearly articulating the essence of the business and important topics in the language of the target audience and engages others in pursuit of clear strategic goals.

- Is bottom line focused and can be counted upon to achieve goals.

- Is comfortable delegating and will clearly assign responsibility for tasks and decisions.

- The ability to create strong internal and external network and professional groups to ensure best practice.

- Strong knowledge and practice on the Italian urban planning and environmental procedures in order to secure all relevant approvals and Authorities' management

- Relevant financial and economic skills to implement the different Real Estate asset classes business plan through dedicated Finance Managers

- Relevant tertiary qualification.

- Fluent in both Italian and English language
