NoOffer DescriptionThe research focuses on the development of whole-energy system models, particularly by improving spatial detail in the definition of inputs (e. g. , demand for services or energy carriers, transport infrastructure, prices) through analysis of specific datasets and literature reviews, and in the definition of outputs (e. g. , installed capacity of production, transformation, or utilization technologies) by enhancing the spatial variable description in model formulation.

The areas of application include all segments of the energy system where spatial density and the relative distance between demand and supply are crucial in determining optimal configurations, such as district heating networks and gas grids in decarbonization scenarios.
