Offer Description
The activity will focus on the development of sustainable composite structures for aerospace applications manufactured through infusion technologies. The embedment of sensors during the manufacturing process will enable monitoring of the infusion process and evaluation of the mechanical properties of the structures. The project specifically aims to assess how the defects inherently introduced into the structure by the use of recycled materials can influence its mechanical behavior.
The design of the structure, which will use FEM models, will be based on requirements derived from a reference application. The realization of test samples and simplified prototypes will allow for experimental characterization. Finally, one or two technological demonstrators will be built to evaluate the functional performance of the proposed solutions.
