This role requires strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Perform diagnostic tests on garbage trucks and other diesel-powered equipment to identify issuesConduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotationsRepair or replace defective parts in engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systemsUse hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment to perform repairsTest drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs. Maintain detailed records of all services and repairs performedEnsure all vehicles are compliant with DOT regulations, including brake maintenance and inspectionsAdhere to safety protocols and regulations at all timesQualificationsWhat We're Looking For: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in the waste management industryASE Certification preferredStrong knowledge of diesel engine components and systemsProficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipmentExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamShifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)
