**Location/Division Specific Information**:

Now, more than ever, it's critical to have a strategy to implement decentralised trials in order to continue to advance and protect life-saving clinical research.

We are pioneering digital capabilities and deploying solutions to streamline protocols, putting patient experience at the center of every design.

**Discover Impactful Work**:

The Digital team is looking for a **Project Scoping Specialist **(known as a Digital Proposal Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific) to support leading and developing high quality, customer focused proposals for decentralised trials.

This includes the evaluation of RFPs and participation in strategy calls to determine the most efficient and effective bid strategy.

**A day in the Life**:

- Identifies discrepancies in client information and raises appropriately.

- Liaises with business development, contracts and proposals, and operations teams to ensure that the proposal and strategy meet the business needs.

- Modifies the proposal text to reflect study requirements and assumptions specific to the opportunity and ensures proposal text aligns with budget.

- Reviews client grids to ensure accuracy of mapping and unit definitions.

- Leads proposal generation and revision for complex opportunities.

- Interacts with clients as necessary to determine requirements and service levels.

- Attends bid review to present and defend budget to senior management.

- Assists business development in coordinating assignments for client presentations and bid defences.

- Performs peer QC as needed and oversees the finalisation of proposals.

- Participates in training and mentoring of new staff.

**Keys to Success**:

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

**Experience**:

- Previous experience that provides the relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2-5+ years') or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

- Advanced knowledge of clinical trial proposal process and budget management

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:

- Knowledge of digital tools and eClinical technology

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritise numerous tasks

- Demonstrated ability to make key proposal and budgeting decisions based on knowledge and experience

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under stress

- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with individuals at all levels of the organization

- Knowledge of drug development process, FDA guidelines, GCP's

- Proficiency in mathematics and strong working knowledge of budgets

- In-depth understanding of unitised grids, unit cost, unit drivers

- Knowledge of functional area project life cycle

- Strong social skills and ability to work well with others

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

- Strong problem solving skills

- Excellent command of English language and grammar
