About The Role For our Crypto Asset Services out of Italy, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director of Crypto Compliance & Risk to lead our compliance and risk management efforts in Italy, preferably from Milan.

This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risks, and developing policies that align with both local and European crypto regulations.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial regulations, risk management, and a strong understanding of the evolving cryptocurrency landscape.

Your Mission Oversee and develop the Compliance & Risk framework for the entity, ensuring adherence to Italian and European regulatory requirements, including AML/CFT obligations.

Stay ahead of regulatory developments in Italy and the EU, providing strategic guidance on compliance and risk-related matters.

Lead engagements with Italian regulatory bodies.

Design and implement policies and controls to mitigate risks associated with cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring robust compliance with MiCAR and other applicable laws.

Develop and oversee internal monitoring systems, risk assessments, and reporting structures for potential financial and regulatory risks.

Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure risk management is embedded in business strategies.

Act as the first point of contact for auditors and regulatory inspections, providing necessary documentation and responses.

Your Profile Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs within financial services, fintech, or cryptocurrency sectors.

Experience in crypto-asset compliance and risk management.

Minimum 2 years of management experience in a hierarchical structure, as required for regulatory assessment in Italy.

Deep understanding of Italian AML regulations, MiCA, GDPR, and other financial regulations applicable to digital assets.

Experience working with regulatory authorities in Italy and the EU.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in Italian and English.

Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are a plus.

You must live in Italy, preferred in Milan.
