Director, Finance (Mexico Operations)Want to make an impact? The Director, Finance (Mexico Operations) is a key member of our Mexican plant leadership team and is accountable for the financial support of Ferrara Candy Company's Mexico operations in Linares, MX and Reynosa, MX.
This includes the development of a financial strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills with a focus on supporting our manufacturing operations, legal entities, and people efforts.
Ways you will make a differencePlanning and Forecasting
Assist in formulating the subsidiary's future direction and supporting tactical initiativesMonitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plansDevelop financial and tax strategies within the Company's subsidiariesManage the local capital request and budgeting processes, specifically related to timing of capital expendituresDevelop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic directionOperations
Participate in key decisions as a member of the Mexico leadership teamMaintain in-depth relations with all members of the management teamOversee the Mexico transactional processing systemsSupport the Company's on-going SAP S4 Hana transformationImplement operational best practicesProvide thought leadership in commercialization and costing new products and platformsOversee the Company's legal entity simplification efforts, including assessment of merging entities to support harmonization of processes and toolsOversee the issuance of statutory financial information and tax reportsReport monthly financial results to Group Reporting in the USConstruct and monitor reliable control systemsWork with US corporate team to maintain appropriate insurance coverageEnsure that the company complies with all local financial and regulatory requirementsEnsure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agenciesMaintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendationsMonitor the subsidiary's cash and treasury needs and work collaboratively with US corporate to fund operationsTax
Review monthly VAT returns, ensuring timely VAT input tax credit claimsReview annual corporate income tax returns and ensure timely filingsMonitor transfer pricing and record promptly in the booksMonitor all tax law changes in Mexico and elevate to Ferrara CorporateEnsure compliance with financial terms within all third-party sites and facilitiesSkills that will make you successfulExperiences that will support your successMaster's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience20+ years of progressively responsible experience within the CPG industry in MexicoExperience with maquiladora (or similar) structuresStrong track record of systems implementations and legal entity simplificationDemonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing operation, including strong collaboration skills with operations, legal and Human ResourcesCPA (or local equivalent) preferredExperience with local tax issues (Maquiladora, VAT, income tax, transfer pricing)What We OfferFerrara's success in industry-leading innovation has been driven by deep consumer insights, strong retailer co-creation and partnerships, and a dedication to diversity of thought, experience, and people.
