Who we are looking for Purpose: To strengthen our Global Business Development team, we are searching for an experienced candidate as Director Global Business Development AIR, to be included in the Global Business Development AIR Team. The role will report into the Senior Director of Global Business Development AIR. Main Responsibilities Continuously monitor and perform systematic landscaping of opportunities in the external innovation space within AIR from preclinical to commercialization. Generate and build an extensive international network in the AIR space and communicate Chiesi's value proposition to potential external partners. Build and nurture solid relationships with R&D, commercial within the AIR Franchise, and other relevant corporate functions. Provide project leadership on AIR BD opportunities ensuring strong coordination and effective communication with external partners. Assemble business cases and lead financial modeling/valuation for all types of AIR opportunities. Maintain relationships with partners throughout discussions and actively participate in negotiations. Pitch opportunities to senior leadership and keep executive leadership informed. Facilitate the handover to the Alliance Management and Integration Team pre and post deal. Education Degree in life sciences and/or pharmaceutical sciences is required. PhD or MBA is considered a significant plus. Experience Required A minimum of 5 years of international experience in BD roles in the Pharma and Biotech industry with a track record of deals closed for assets, preferably with global scope and in the AIR space is required.
