**Overview
This role will be responsible for the development and execution of all local Marketing & Operational plans, including analytical, activities in Italy, with immediate focus on driving the launch and overall management of Amyloidosis portfolio, accelerating market penetration of our Porphyria & PH1 products. The Marketing Director will be reporting to the General Manager and line manage the marketing team. The Marketing Director will be member of the Italian and International Leadership Team.
This person will:
- Lead development of Italy Strategic and tactical plans, including the tailoring of global & Regional strategies to the Italian market:
- Drive and track focused execution of cross-functional tactics;
- Share learnings and best practices across International countries.
The role will support the General Manager in cross-functional Italian activities. They will ensure excellent alignment and communications from the Italian team to the regional team, and that the regional team has the necessary insights into country specifics to provide optimal support. The Marketing Director will also lead the development and execution of the Italian strategic & tactical plans (participating in regional tactics as appropriate).
**Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Manage the marketing team, including ensuring teams have clear roles, responsibilities and development plans.
- Develop talents in the team alongside the Alnylam development process; perform regular performance and development dialogues with the direct reports.
- Identify opportunities and challenges and derive signatures iniatiatives and action plans in close collaboration with Sales, Medical and the Regional marketing team.
- Leads development of Ital launch plans. Including pre-launch and post-launch tracking of agreed KPIs to allow early course correction and ensure execution of key tactics. Develop innovative, multichannel marketing strategies and tactics.
- Secure best in class launch of new products leveraging local and regional launch learnings; frequently track launch success.
- Provide high quality input to Market Access plans to support the fastest and broadest access to Alnylam medicines.
- Support on the execution of educational and promotional events via the Sales Force.
- Own the local marketing budget across the brand portfolio and secure best in class allocation of resources; regularly perform impact and RoI analyses on local marketing spend.
- Maintain a highly efficient working relationship with cross-functional colleagues.
- Support the build and execution of Sales Force Training curriculum in close collaboration with the Sales Lead & regional Training support.
- Builds sustainable relationships with healthcare stakeholders, functions as main partner for italian customers and italian/ international KOLs.
- Contributes to the development of the European strategic plan and annual tactical plans.
- Collaborate for managing the medical and regulatory review of all training, commercial and marketing documentation.
- In close collaboration with the regional product teams, ensure deep local market and stakeholder insights to inform local tailoring of the strategy and tactics and to help inform the global/regional strategy.
- Operates on daily basis in a compliant manner with local regulatory requirements and Code of Ethics and Compliance.
- Co-own the annual and tertial patient, vial and revenue planning, forecasting and tracking progress in close alignment with the Sales Director and the General ManageBe a member of the Medical Access Commercial leadership Team
**Qualifications
- Life Science degree, Business degree a plus.
- Previous pharmaceutical marketing and operational leadership experience, ideally in the rare disease/ orphan drug arena.
- Commercial and/or marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with experience in managing or launching a specialty or biotech product.
- Experience in establishing or maintaining patient access to pharmaceutical products.
- Experience leading cross functional teams.
- Experience leading a team is essential.
- Strong business and financial acumen
