About the role:
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Director of Banquets and Stewarding to join our iconic hotel, Four Seasons Milano in Italy!
What you will do:
Reporting into the Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for leading both department operations, ensuring exceptional service and attention to our internal and external guests.
Responsibilities for Banquets:
Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors, managers in the Hotel's Banquet Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts. Coordinate set-up requirements for hotel and off-site functions according to the banquet event order, communicate directly with group contacts, Director of Catering and Conference Services, Catering Managers to ensure that all details of the function are carried out, ensure quality and timeliness of all food items, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience.
The ability to work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and Director of Catering and Conference Services to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
Ensure productivity of the department through cost analysis and implement strategies in order to reach monthly goals.
Responsibilities for Stewarding:

Oversee all stewarding operations, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and service areas.
Manage the inventory and control of kitchen equipment, supplies, and chemicals.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Lead, train, and supervise the stewarding team to maintain efficient operations.
Coordinate with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth flow of operations and support during service periods.
Ensure a cost effective operation.

Schedule & Hours:
This position is based at the Four Seasons Milan. This job includes a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
You must possess the legal right to work in Italy and have fluency in English and Italian.
