The first of its kind, the Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, is paradise found. About the role:The Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, is looking for a talented Director of Catering and Conference Services to join our pre-opening team!
The Director of Catering and Conference Services will oversee all aspects of a profit and service-driven Catering and Conference Services Department, including supervision of the Directors/Assistant Directors and administrative staff in their day-to-day roles.
This includes maintaining and monitoring the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communications including Contracts, Proposals, Banquet Event Orders, Resumes, Daily Events Report, Delphi Input Standards, and Guest at Leisure Reports. What you will do:Evaluate current sales practices and make recommendations to maximize the profitability of the Catering and Conference Services resources. Oversee the quarterly administration and seek new ways to motivate and maximize revenues with the Catering and Conference Services Incentive plans. Finalize the requirements of personally booked or assigned Catering and Conference Services bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event. Supervise the execution of banquet events and ensure satisfaction of clients at the outset of all events. Maintain and monitor the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communication from Catering Manager and Catering Administrative Assistants. Actively prospect and solicit, develop, and maintain local corporate catering accounts. Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, capacities and dimensions of meeting space and basic operational needs of all operating departments. Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients. Find solutions to challenges that arise while groups are on property and keep the Planning Committee informed. Facilitate and monitor training of new Catering Managers and Administrative Assistants. Act as the liaison for all vendor/supplier related clients' needs. Prepare the analysis of the catering and conference services weekly financial forecast and contribute to the annual Marketing Plan and Budget. Maintain an active role in the local business and social community to generate new business and support public relations efforts of the resort. What you will bring:Requires 5+ years of catering or conferences service leadership experience in a luxury hotel, preferably resort, setting. College degree preferred or similar experience. Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Proven interpersonal skills with a track record of successful client interactions. Coaching and People Development Skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail. High level of creativity. Ability to work long and irregular hours, weekends, and evenings. Able to negotiate, organize, delegate & work under pressure. Computer literacy to include Delphi Sales and Catering Software, MS Word, Excel, and ability to use e-mail and Internet.
*This position will not start until end of February 2025.
