Director Of Energy Transition Strategy
Location: Italy Milan** (flexibility for remote work arrangements)
Job Summary: This position focuses on leading strategic initiatives and operational excellence in energy transition projects, particularly renewable energy, hydrogen infrastructure, and sustainable fuels.
The role requires oversight of business development, operational scaling, and innovative solutions to drive the energy transition across Italy and potential European expansions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Ø Strategic Business Development: Lead market analysis and growth strategies in renewable energy and hydrogen sectors.
Identify and engage with new market segments, securing partnerships and deals with key stakeholders, including government agencies and private companies.
Ø Operational Leadership: Oversee the planning, permitting, construction, and commissioning of renewable and alternative energy projects (biomethane, hydrogen, etc. ).
Ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget.
Ø Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry bodies, regulatory agencies, and clients.
Negotiate contracts and align goals with client and business expectations.
Ø Innovation and Technology Implementation: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, optimizing operations to ensure best practices, sustainability goals, and adherence to new regulations.
Ø Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop teams in business development and operations, encouraging a culture of collaboration and innovation.
**Requirements**:
- **Experience**: Minimum 10-15 years in a senior management role within the energy, oil & gas, or water sectors, with a strong background in business development, project management, and operational oversight.
- Experience with hydrogen, biomethane, or similar energy sectors is highly desirable.
- **Education**: Master's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- **Technical Expertise**: Comprehensive knowledge of renewable energy policies, infrastructure requirements, and the European regulatory landscape.
- **Skills**: Strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and proven leadership in driving complex projects from inception to completion.
Proficiency in financial analysis, investment planning, and market analysis is preferred.
- **Language** Proficiency: Fluency in Italian and English.
