About the role:At Four Seasons Firenze we are looking for a dynamic, highly organized, and innovative Director of Food Beverage!
The Director of Food Beverage is a key member of the Hotel Leadership team, playing a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of the hotel's culinary and service offerings.
As a senior leader, the FB Director will oversee all aspects of the Food Beverage operations ensuring the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
This position requires a forward-thinking leader with a keen ability to balance creativity and operational efficiency. What you will do:Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees and managers in the Food Beverage Division through effective management and leadership. Be visible in the operation, provide Guests recognition, as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons. Manage and supervise the preparation and running of commercial activities by participation in FB competitions and promotions. Participate in establishing strategic sales marketing plans and reviews on a regular basis. Coordinate the marketing programs with the Sales and Marketing Department to promote the restaurants' services in food and beverage. Control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control. Work closely with the General Manager and Planning Committee to design an effective menu, wine lists, and amenity options. Implement general and operating policies in relation to FB Service established by Four Seasons Hotels Resorts. Plan, develop and approve specific operational policies, programs, procedures and methods in accordance with corporate guidelines. Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met. Monitor physical condition and cleanliness of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed. What you bring:Education: academic education preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience. Experience: must have 5 to 7 years of experience in Food Beverage department head roles, with a proven track record in a luxury hotel environment. Skills and Abilities: Must possess strong leadership, organizational and people management skills, as well as a drive to deliver an exceptional level of service and meet financial targets. Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently and mastery in delegating multiple tasks. Solid knowledge of food and wine, guest service, cost control, labor control, menu writing, merchandising and accounting are required. Working knowledge of various computer software programs. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language.
