**The Hoxton has landed in Italy!

In May 2021 we opened The Hoxton, Rome and we're now looking for an experienced

**Director of Operations** to join our team.

You'll be key to the success of the business, acting as the number two to our General Manager overseeing our Restaurant & Bars operations.

You'll have the opportunity to run the show as if it were your own (with the support of a fantastic team of course).

The Hoxton, Rome is our 10th Hoxton and boasts 192 bedrooms of different sizes.

Cugino is our large coffee bar and takeaway counter, and Beverly is our light-flooded restaurant.

The Apartment is our unique meetings & events space concept, consisting of 5 rooms connecting to our communal kitchen area.

**What you'll do**:

- At the core of your role will be to ensure our guests are having a great and unique experience with us.

You'll also

- Impact all areas of the business, from the big picture to the small details

- Take responsibility for the financial side of things: owning your P&L, contributing to annual budget planning and generally mastering the balance between cost and quality that The Hoxton is known for

- Make quality your middle name.

You'd never be satisfied with being number 23 on TripAdvisor; you'll lead our existing Quality Evaluation processes and find ways to make them better

- Lead and manage a team of high-energy people who love our guests, by setting and monitoring goals, empowering and developing them, and creating an environment where people can be themselves

- Be great at spinning multiple plates - it's a fast-paced place and we like to keep a handful of projects on the go at the same time

- Recruitment of and managing of the F&B team

- Involvement in menu development; wine, food and beverage; in order to achieve budgeted COS%

- Oversee labour scheduling and maintaining budgeted labour costs

- Overseeing the sourcing of suppliers and negotiating pricing

- Liaising with the Brand team and senior management for the promotion and activation of the F&B outlets

**What we're looking for**:

- An experienced, commercially savvy operator; having previously worked in a lifestyle or high-end contemporary hotel would be an advantage

- You're as comfortable with the strategic as with the day-to-day detail and can easily connect the two

- A natural at leading and managing others, you lead by example and create an environment where your team can be their best self

- 4 years' experience in a senior F&B management role

- Exceptional people-oriented manager, who leads by example, and passionate about developing the team

- P&L and budgeting experience/knowledge at a advanced level

- High level of systems knowledge

- Knowledge of F&B within the market and extensive contacts within the industry

- Strong background in wine, food and cocktails - ability to understand menus for all disciplines

- Service expert in all areas of restaurant disciplines

- Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards

- Ability to complete food hygiene documents and writing environmental health reports
