As an outsourcing partner to major global brands and trendsetters across all distribution channels, from high end to mass market, the company has over 10 years of experience in providing both domestic and international clients with outstanding services ranging from bulk manufacturing to full turnkey solutions. The company employs almost 2000 people worldwide (Europe, USA, Asia). Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Quality and Continuous Improvement Europe to lead, strengthen, and enhance the company's quality operations and systems across its European facilities. This highly visible and hands-on role acts as the "spokesperson to the customer" on quality-related matters, ensuring excellence in quality initiatives and compliance. The role also places a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, embedding a culture of innovation and efficiency to drive sustainable progress in quality performance. KEY OBJECTIVES: Operational Excellence and Compliance: Implement robust methods to enhance quality, safety, microbiology, and hygiene standards. Ensure full compliance with all regulations and exceed client expectations. Foster a proactive approach to continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to optimize processes and reduce inefficiencies. Team Leadership and Development: Manage and structure the European quality team to optimize performance and establish a culture of excellence. Foster collaboration and accountability across all departments. Encourage continuous learning and professional development to maintain a highly skilled workforce. Lead cross-functional projects to upskill teams and modernize tools, practices, and systems. Promote a continuous improvement mindset, encouraging innovation in quality processes and operational workflows. Customer Relations: Serve as the primary contact for quality-related matters, including customer complaints and improvement plans. Drive customer satisfaction by implementing proactive measures to enhance product quality and process efficiency. Establish clear procedures, define roles, and ensure every team member contributes effectively to achieving strategic objectives. Develop and sustain a systematic approach to process improvement, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership and Quality Strategy: Define, implement, and monitor the quality policy in line with ISO 22716, IFS, and other relevant standards. Establish and track quality performance indicators, including the cost of quality. Drive the effectiveness of quality processes to support organizational goals. Champion a continuous improvement culture, integrating Lean and Six Sigma methodologies where applicable. Operational Quality Management: Oversee Quality Assurance, vendor quality management, new product development quality, and manufacturing quality. Manage corrective actions, preventive measures, and continuous improvement activities. Identify and implement best practices to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain. Team Management: Lead and develop a team of professionals across three countries, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Conduct regular evaluations to assess individual and collective performance. Define roles and responsibilities to maximize team efficiency. Promote a culture of accountability and commitment to quality objectives. Process Optimization: Review and refine existing quality procedures to ensure operational excellence. Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, including CAPA processes and risk prevention strategies. Oversee deviations, quality containment measures, customer complaints, crisis management, and product recalls with a high degree of responsiveness. Continuously assess and refine operational processes to drive innovation and improve overall efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Competencies: Managerial: Proven leadership abilities with a natural capacity to structure and unite a team around ambitious objectives. A disciplined, rigorous approach to maintaining high standards. Strong listening and communication skills to engage teams and foster change. Demonstrated ability to lead and sustain continuous improvement initiatives. Technical: Expertise in ISO 22716 standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Strong knowledge of microbiology practices, document management, and risk analysis (e. g. , FMEA). Experience implementing continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Behavioral: Assertive and confident leadership style. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, highly regulated environment. Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to foster a culture of innovation, encouraging employees to contribute ideas for ongoing improvement. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree in Industrial Quality, Chemistry, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of significant experience in a similar role with confirmed managerial responsibilities, preferably in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry. Fluent in English and at least one other European language. Strong track record of leading quality improvement and efficiency initiatives within a regulated industry. WHY JOIN OUR CLIENT?
