Director of Sales and Marketing Hyatt Centric Milano Centrale is looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing. This position is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. Reports directly to the General Manager of the Hotel. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Has responsibility for the Sales and Marketing Budget/P&L inclusive for revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, public relations, developing, and writing business plans, and ownership engagement. Manage sales departmental budget and expenses, analyze and control. Understand and communicate market trends, demand generators, supply/demand, and economic factors affecting hotel performance. Integral part of the hotel's strategy team; must be a dynamic and innovative thinker for optimal impact. Train and monitor the group contractual agreement process, business evaluation, rate quotes, and business efforts. Direct leadership of the marketing, communications, and agency partners; confident and knowledgeable in public relations and marketing strategies to drive direct business. Design, implement, and facilitate the annual marketing plan for the hotel. Identify challenges throughout the booking cycle and develop a plan with tactics to address concerns. Develop and implement strategic sales action plans and forecasts in conjunction with the Revenue team to achieve hotel revenue objectives. Coordinate with Hyatt sales force on a regional and global level to conform to hotel budgetary requirements. Devise new ways to expand the client base through prospecting, marketing, and cultivating key relationships. Attend major travel, trade, and corporate functions and conduct sales trips based on business priorities. Plan and arrange Fam Trips and in-house site inspections. Build and maintain strong client relations and develop accounts to increase market share across all revenue streams. Manage the hotel sales contracts and achievement of the hotel revenue plan. Create and present hotel's results in monthly asset management meetings. Interact with the operation team to ensure understanding of guest needs and create a working relationship within all areas of the operation. Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 6 years or more of progressive hotel sales experience (typically within the hospitality field). Strong marketing background. Availability to travel worldwide and handle/manage different markets/segments. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds. Results driven, energetic, and focused. Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills. Must possess strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, and exceptional customer service skills. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to learn Hyatt tools and systems and integrate them into daily routine tasks.
