If you're looking to step up your career we have a great opportunity for a Planning & Programming Director at QVC Italy based in Brugherio (MB).

In this role you will take the lead of our Planning & Programming function to ensure the team meet (and potentially exceed) their goals on Demand Sales, Margin and Inventory budgets.

In this role, reporting directly into the Market lead, you will be performing a variety of task:

Optimizing brands, products, trends, and offers to achieve company financial goals.

Sets direction and is accountable for Productivity, Gross Margin and Inventory level and quality

Determine the optimal use of levers (QPay penetration, price codes, P&P and airtime) to maximize assets while adhering to promotional budgets

Collaborate with Buying and Commerce Platform leads to plan and improve the business and maximize opportunities

Oversee the development of Quarterly Strategic Roadmaps and airtime allocation that balances sales maximization and inventory liquidation while achieving company financial goals.

Maximize Customer Engagement, Viewership and Sales by overseeing the execution of on air events, including positioning and promotional strategies, as well as the development of new events

In more details your accountabilities will be:

Sales Maximization and Inventory Management

Attend and actively participate in Today Special Value meetings to determine appropriate, prep, sales, productivity and placement

Manage the use of key promotional levers including easy pay and pricing tiers

Analyze sales trends of programs, events, and promotions and make recommendations based on business performance and history

Oversee and enforce Pal Basics, providing feedback to ensure the highest level of execution and decision making to maximize airtime

Approve Reorders and RTVs in a timely manner

Maintain overall inventory budget with attention to insuring that inventory is accurately actioned to quantify health

Liquidate distressed inventory via on air programming and off air promotions

Collaborate with eCommerce Lead to develop awareness for and strategies to drive Buy Anytime business

Manage overall margin rate by ensuring that pricing maintains category requirements

Provide input into monthly forecast and annual budget development

Identify and maximize margin opportunities

Manage the use of Free P&P to adhere to revenue plan

Oversee the development of Quarterly Roadmap and airtime allocation to drive sales and viewership

Oversee the collaboration of cross-functional team to develop new, compelling and creative Programming Events for on air

Approve Weekly, Monthly and Priority calendars and review regularly to address issues

Team & Self Development

Maintain regular communication with staff to ensure focus and direction is clear as priorities shift

Delegate appropriate levels of decision making, responsibility and independence to develop and grow staff

To communicate performance goals and standards so that staff understand expectations and how they are linked to QVC's vision, values and goals to improve commitment both outside and within the company

Recruit, develop and motivate Planners in order to develop potential and to meet QVC's requirements.

Higher University Degree (Masters Degree Preferred)

Minimum 10 years' business experience required.

Minimum 5 years' experience in managing/leading others.

Extensive experience in a Planning or Merchandising function preferred as well as experience in the Retail industry Business

Strong process and communications skills

Extensive matrix and people management experience

Broad knowledge of merchandising/planning practices

Able to manage and influence different stakeholders within market

Able to lead complex business planning process

Strong Analytical background

Ability to make decisions quickly in response to business opportunities or threats
