Regional Marketing Director, Biosciences
**Job Summary
The primary objective of the regional marketing organization is to lead the transformation of business strategy into regionally relevant, inspiring marketing that creates customer value, revenue and growth.
The focus of this role is to lead the definition and execution of the EMEA marketing strategy for the Biosciences business in close partnership with all stakeholders.
The role focuses on driving customer engagement and enabling sales channels to reach revenue targets by driving demand and gaining market share.
The success of this role will depend upon combining business priorities with cross-divisional synergies.
**Overall Responsibilities**:
- Lead a successful regional marketing team to deliver consistently on growth and revenue targets in Biosciences
- Establish teamwork, collaboration, and a positive culture to tackle challenges and win in a highly competitive and dynamic market.
- Drive innovation to retain a competitive edge and market visibility.
- Develop metrics and KPI frameworks that inform business reviews and optimisation of marketing and commercial tactics for short and long-term success.
- Enable cost-effective and impactful regional marketing campaigns that provide awareness and education of targeted market segments, that generate and convert leads to closed/won revenue via all appropriate commercial channels (eg sales, digital, and channels).
- Align with stakeholders and senior leaders to ensure effective go-to-market strategies that coordinate sales action with marketing activity.
- Develop talent/mentor team members
**Specific responsibilities**:
- Lead a team of Regional Marketing Development Managers, who set and enable a strategic, multi-channel integrated marketing plan for Biosciences, taking account of customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends and market opportunities.
- Ensure a financially sound operation with solid corporate governance and compliance.
- Manage the business' budget appropriately.
Responsibility for Marketing OpEx and ensuring the ROI of marketing activities in line with EMEA targets.
- Partner with other members of the management team, globally and in the region, to formulate cross-functional strategies for accelerated growth.
- Work collaboratively with all Business Unit Global Market Development Directors to give input to strategy and create tactical campaigns, programs and projects that can be deployed in EMEA taking into consideration the needs of the regional markets and commercial organization.
- Partner with the Commercial VP for the Biosciences division to support the creation of Marketing activities and sales enablement that support the revenue achievement of the division.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Extensive experience in a marketing role with a demonstrated ability to translate marketing strategy into tactical plans and execute against those plans to drive results.
- Experience in building and leading high performing teams.
- Experience in working in a complex matrix environment and working cross divisionally to drive synergies.
- Experience developing networks and gaining the endorsements of key stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Prioritisation Skills
- Travel is required (25%)
