**Job Description**:
The **Commercial Sales Director** is a key cluster role that will support the deal structuring, approval governance, coordination between functions, client pitches, deal pipeline management, client incentive budgets and performance tracking.
**What we expect of you, day to day.
- Leads / coordinates client incentive deals, RFP responses, through development of strong client propositions with the Client Engagement (CE) teams & key stakeholders
- Leads/ advises on the best / most suitable deal structure (balancing corporate requirements with competitive needs and strategic goals) working towards maximising longer term net revenue growth
- Leads/ Collaborates with CE, Finance & hub support functions.

Develop rigorous and concise arguments with a view to socialise them with the right stakeholders
- Leads / coordinates hub support teams to ensure one coherent voice on proposal documents and presentations
- Leads / coordinates pre-sales engagement - develops client-specific sales strategies, and engagement and investment plans
- Works closely with the CE teams & where required with clients to understand their strategy/challenges/requirements, to ensure Visa is focused on the right areas
- Share knowledge & insights as well as leveraging best practice from other deals / developments across all European markets
- Leads the establishment of a consistent & widely understood RFP response framework, leading to a fully embedded best-in-class approach to RFP management & delivery.
- Enables & inspire the CE teams to focus on negotiating strategies and deal structures that lead to longer term improvement in win ratio
- Creates regular updates to track/ manage deal team priorities and communicate to senior management
- Maintains control and visibility over the deal pipeline and ensures reflection of correct deal metrics in Playbook and/or other internal sales management systems
- Follows up on performance of existing deals
**Qualifications**:
- Deep interpersonal skills to influence and build credibility across functional and regional leaders as well as clients
- Breadth of experience across commercial negotiations & business development with client focus, as well as demonstrating extensive executive engagement experience
- Results oriented with very strong analytical, consultative and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
- Ability to communicate at all levels with both internal and external leaders to build consensus and influence Visa's negotiating position
- Good knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Able to advise, coach and mentor within the team and beyond (where required)
- Experience in payments, retail banking and/or retail merchant industries
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyse information
- Have capacity to become a respected and valued partner at multiple levels within the organization
- Excellent communication skills.
Fluency in English is essential.
Good command of additional European languages (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese in particular) preferred
- Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience, preferably in (or related to) payments/financial services preferred
- Willingness to travel as required
